Voters

working to create a generation of civically engaged individuals one student at a time

In 2020 The Harvard Kennedy School: Institute of Politics found that although close to 50 percent of 18–29 year olds were going to vote in the US elections, come election time, the number of young voters was close to 5 percent. This statistic isn't new. Data taken ever since 2003 report that Americans aged 18-29 are the least likely to vote.

But don't  young Americans stand the most to lose or gain in policymaking decisions?

Many issues plaguing new voters are the same ones contributing to lower national voter turnout in general. Voter apathy, general governmental distrust, inaccessible voter registration instructions, and overall limited knowledge of election systems are all factors of low youth voter turnout.

However, at Voters of the Future, our message is that every voice matters. In a representative democracy, voting and civic education is the cornerstone of representation and political change. That's why Voters of the Future is dedicated to making voting easier for youth voters, instilling ideals of voter importance, and making voting knowledge accessible.
